Consultancy – Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization Framework.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) through the Division of Non-Communicable Disease (DNCD) is currently implementing a national program ‘Integrating Diabetes & Hypertension Control into Primary Health Care in Kenya’ in partnership with Kenya Diabetes and Information Management Center, Medtronic Labs, NCD Alliance Kenya, FOPRO, PATH and Kenya Defeat Diabetes Association (KDDA). The program plans to develop an Advocacy, Communications and Social Mobilization (ACSM) Framework to harmonize the partners’ interventions towards addressing the burden of Diabetes and Hypertension in Kenya. The framework will strengthen partnership and multi-sectoral collaboration for effective advocacy, awareness creation on diabetes and hypertension, stakeholder engagement and promote best practices. The ACSM framework will align advocacy and stakeholder engagement under different components of the program right from national to county levels while engaging policymakers, opinion leaders and influencers in different sectors and communities.
